What was it like supporting Gorky`s Zygotic Mynci at their Reading/Leeds
warm up gig?
It was really good and enjoyable. They were very supportive looking after a new kid. It was only my second ever gig but I got a good response from the audience.
What was the experience of working with the legendary Gorwel Owen like?
Did he give you any tips?
He co-wrote the songs and helped out with putting new bits in. It was awe-inspiring. As well as acoustic guitar I used electric, slide and bass guitar, recorder, harmonium (as used by SFA), zither, glockenspiel and piano.
Have you got any advance info on your debut single?
It will be on vinyl and cd and will be released in the new year on Placid Casual. It will have 4 tracks with 2 songs in English, 1 in Welsh and one instrumental.
Things have moved pretty quickly from supporting Gorky's, working with
Gorwel Owen and having your soon to be debut single released on Super
Furry Animals' Placid Casual label. Has this taken you by surprise?
Fuck yeah. I've only done 7 gigs since July 22nd and I still haven`t taken it all in. Everyone else seems more excited about it.
What are your future plans?
Stay on the dole for the next few months, just the one gig planned and the single coming out in January.
