You know when summer is here when you start planning for Glasto. This year we decided to go on Wednesday evening instead of having to get up really early on Thursday morning. Me and Matt were the brave people to do this with Simon and Mark joining us the day after. We expected it to be quiet but it was quite the opposite and parked the car just a 5 mins away from our annual site, however getting to the entrance involved a long walk and took nearer half an hour to get to the site! We set up all the tents including the Wolverhampton crew who were also coming on Thursday and spent the rest of the day an night relaxing. Mark and Simon arrived later than planned as they had managed to be put in an even worse carpark than ours at the opposite side of Glastonbury!! I met up with Ceri and Dan who had come from Cardiff without too much trouble for a change. Hmmm, now it was a bit much to expect perfect weather like last year but unfortunately the rain didn`t keep off totally which I discovered to my cost when I helped Simon get the last provisions for his car. We got absolutely soaked and the whole journey took even longer with us having to keep finding shelter and that his stuff weighed a ton or something. Especially after my wood lugging exercise earlier. After someone nicked our wood last year I made sure that my labour wouldn't be in vain this time. All my firemaking skills were needed to make the fire as the wood was soaking wet although it was a bit smokey. Surprise of the weekend was the appearance of Anna who we didn't know was coming after deciding to come at the last minute.
