Ahh the eternal conundrum, what's better cats or dogs... as you might have noticed Lo-Fi Pop and Velvetina Starlet has been asking this very question in every single interview possible to try and find the answer. Dam I wished a simple question like what's the meaning of life (anything you like, like - silly). It all started when the mega group Belding put the question to the fans on their (now defunct) monthly poll. This is the Lo-Fi Pop verdict.

Finley Quay`s band name sandwich

I`m sure you have heard Finley Quay`s new blockbuster Spiritualized. I`m doubly sure that you noticed that he tries to namecheck as many bands as possible but could only think of two so plumped for Ultrasound and Spiritualized. Inspired by this we came up with the Finley Quay band name sandwich game.

Da Rulz
1) Make up some lyrics for a song and try to cram in as many band names as possible. The song should make some sense so a random list of bands is not allowed.
2) Show your songs to a neutral judge who will total up how many bands are mentioned in the songs. Bands listed more than once only count as one.
3) If you mention more than 2 bands then you will be deemed better than Finley Quay, if you mention less than 2 then you are deemed worse. However if you mention 2 bands you will be deemed Finley Quay and you have to sing your hits till your feet are sore.
4) Repeat until bored.

Hey its dinner time again and hear are some top food ideas if you are getting bored of eating jam sandwiches all the time.

• Sugar Sandwich (serves one or two if you are the kind of person who shares things)
  Ingredients
  2 slices of bread
  a butter style spread
  some sugar
  sprinkle sugar on one slice of bread which has been buttered to make this sweetastic sarnie. This is a good snack if you are in a bit of a rush and need instant energy.

• Choco-Strawberry Surprise
  Ingredients
  Strawberry Jam
  Chocolate Spread or Chocolate hundreds & thousands
  2 slices of bread
  Spread the jam on one slices and chocolate on the other (or sprinkle the hundreds & thousands on the jam). Put the slices together and be astounded with the collision of taste with this cavity forming combination.
  Variations: Use Nutella instead of chocolate spread for Nutty Choco-Strawberry Surprise

   

• Indie Police Squad

  This much loved series has now finished. Even though the massive support from it`s cult readership never happened it hit the dirt never to appear when the dust settled in the last chance saloon. Maybe one day da squad will return to save the kidz, maybe. Until the enjoy (?) the previous episodes no available in limited edition kitsch 'n cult packaging like the 70`s never ended.
