Indie Police Squad Episode #1 Deadly Games
We are the Indie Police and it`s our job. Our 2 man squad consists of the post brit pop crew Wolfie (that`s me) and Long Hair Tudor Bloke (that's him). Our latest case started last Tuesday. It was a dark start to the day and it was raining outside. Not the kind of rain that gets you wet if you stay out to long, it`s the kind that eats into your soul... (look will you cut the all the rubbish you believe makes you look really intelligent and get on with the sketch)..
Errrrrrr, the case involved a new game happening on the streets. Groups of kids were hanging out on street corners huddled in groups performing strange rituals to spoken commands. Every now and then one kid would do something on his own, the other kids would then turn on him like some crazed animal type thing with some kind of disease involving foaming mouths or something. It was not a pretty sight. We managed to track down one of the kids and had a nice chat about what was going on. This is the info we got............
Championed by punk/popsters Ash it`s a modification of the classic (yawn) game Simon Says. The game is known as Jesus Says. The rules are as follows, one person is nominated to give instructions of more and more tedious actions. If the person say "Jesus Says (do something)" then you do it however if he just says "(do something)" then you don`t do it. But if you do do it when he says "(do something)" then you loose and you have to endure lots of cruel jokes of how rubbish you are at games. Me and Long Hair had a go at this game (purely to aid our investigation of course) and got so into it that we forgot about the case. Hmmmm, now what was we meant to be doing again?????????
