Here is a cool game to play if you are feeling a bit bored. All you need is a pack of playing cards and one or more friends (don't worry if you haven't got any, friends that is as you can play on your own except it isn't as fun). Here is the game and here are the rules.....
1) Fan out the cards and invite your friend to pick a card, any card. For added tension ask if they are sure about the choice and suggest choosing another card. (advance tip: get your friend to shuffle and split the pack as well)
2) Ask them to look at the card but not to reveal it to anyone else in the room. (advanced tip: make sure they are not in front of a reflective object like a window as some less scrupulous Luck Sod players will use this to cheat!!!!!!!)
3) Have a guess at what the chosen card is. (advanced tip: use ESP or mind control to gain an advantage)
4) If you guess the card correctly then you are deemed The Lucky Sod.
5) If you guess incorrectly then your friend is deemed The Lucky Sod.
6) Repeat from 1
Multiple Lucky Sod (for 2 or more players)
One person picks the card, the other player(s) have turns at guessing the identity of the card until someone gets it right.
Multiple Lucky Sod Countdown (for 2 or more players)
Same as Multiple Lucky Sod. When the card is guessed correctly it is discarded from the pack and the game continues with the reduced pack. Repeat until one card is left. (advanced tip: place the discarded cards face down for a harder game)
Controversy - It makes me sad to inform that money has started to ruin this great amateur game. There are reports that some groups are playing with smarties at stake and some top players are earning up to 2 tubes a night. This cannot continue, please support the Amateur Lucky Sod Association (ALSA) to keep Lucky Sod a clean, honest game.
